Supporting Progress Through Entrepreneurial Action

News

On Thursday April 3, Campbell CEO Denise Morrison was in Cincinnati serving as a judge at the 2014 Enactus United States National Exposition.

Enactus is an international non-profit organization that encourages students to use the power of entrepreneurial action to enhance the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Morrison has been involved with Enactus for more than a decade and Campbell is also a sponsor of this organization.  Denise was joined by Campbell Chief Marketing Officer Mike Senackerib and Nancy Reagan.

At the exposition, student teams from universities across the country – including Morrison’s alma mater, Boston College –presented their community outreach projects. The winning teams will travel to the Enactus World Cup in Beijing, China this October.

Campbell has had many examples of great entrepreneurs over the years.  Dr. John T. Dorrance, the creator of condensed soup, was an innovator in his approach to taking the water out of the soup to sell and market it to the masses.  Margaret Rudkin, the founder of Pepperidge Farm, sought to bake for her son with allergies and created a high quality bread that was sought after by many.  Plum Organics co-founder Neil Grimmer wanted an easier way to make healthy baby food for his family and built the foundation for a premium organic line of baby products.

Morrison’s involvement in Enactus is just one of many ways she supports progress through entrepreneurial action. Campbell is proud of our history of great innovators and entrepreneurs and is invested in maintaining an environment that encourages and fosters more innovative thinking for our current products and the products of the future.
