National Experts Gather to Discuss What’s on the Horizon
CAMDEN, N.J., May 17, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) –The American Society for Nutrition is hosting a National Dialogue on Sodium with a diverse panel of health professionals, public health officials, nutritionists and food industry leader, Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB). Thepanel will offer an opportunity to discuss different perspectives on how to best address public health concerns about sodium, what it will take to reduce sodium intake among Americans over the next five to ten years and the challenges facing the food industry in making great-tasting, lower sodium products.
Campbell Soup Company, a recognized leader in sodium reduction, was asked to participate in the panel to share its insights from decades of sodium reduction research and efforts. For more than 40 years, sodium reduction has been a priority for Campbell. The company has made significant breakthroughs in its longstanding effort and now offers more than 185 great-tasting, reduced sodium products across its portfolio of soups, sauces, beverages, breads and pastas. This is more than seven times the number offered just five years ago. Campbell plans to introduce new reduced sodium products this summer.

Campbell is the only food industry representative on the panel.
